Publisher SalesLuisterboek puts Nima Sales-A on Playaway®

Publisher SalesLuisterboek releases her Nima Sales-A courses on the in America already very popular Playaway® players.

The audio book contains short chapters that meet the latest exam demands for Nima Sales-A.
Ideal for students that already follow this education or plan to do this. Also people that already in the profession of sales or even already have the Nima certificate can still update their knowledge and skills with this audio book.

Study in the traffic jam, on holiday, in the train or even just at home. Learning becomes more flexible and easier with an audio book. Also for students with only little time, who have difficulties with complicated texts or who are dyslectic or blind sighted the audio book is a very practical device.

“The sound quality is perfect and the lay-out of the player looks very professional. The reactions from the market are overwhelming. As commercial trainer you of course also observe a few aspects of the supplier. How do they communicate externally? How fast do they react on questions?  How customer friendly are they really? In short: do I feel that I am a customer or am I (just) a customer? With QCT I really felt that I was a customer. They make sure all the follow up is done swift and correctly, do exactly what they have agreed to do and are very customer orientated. Each detail is handled with the utmost care.” says author and publisher Mr. Theo Holtgrefe.

Also Mr. Hans Pieters of the Excess Studio’s in Rotterdam is very impressed with the Playaway® players stating: “The Playaway® player is the most direct expression from the studio to the listener. Totally problem free for both me and my customers.”

QCT and SalesLuisterboek have agreed to approach the Dutch educational market together.
Dolf Blomhert, Managing Director of QCT: “We expect a lot of this partnership that generates a very promising synergy: at one side state- of-the-art technology and maximum user comfort and on the other side a comprehensive know- how of the educational market and the corresponding user purposes.”

The Playaway® players are as big as a deck of playing cards and look like a small book with a user friendly dashboard on the back. The new 4.0 version of Playaway® has an extended navigation system and a more advanced LCD screen. This allows quick and easy browsing between the various titles, chapters and subsections. These new features are especially ideal for educational titles, reference books or training programs like the one of SalesLuisterboek.

InStyle Magazine, June 2006
“33 Summer Must-Haves."

Delta Sky, June 2006
“Pre-loaded and self-playing, Playaway audio books deliver top-quality digital sound without the juggling of multiple CDs or internet downloading.”

“This little ready-to-go gadget, which fits in the palm of your hand, lives up to its billing: it’s simple, portable and most importantly, preloaded.”

The Denver Post, May 2006
“Playaway audio books are popping up on the ears of travelers as the hot way to listen to the latest best seller.”

“Playaway may be the simplest and quickest way to get from the store to Chapter 1.”

Kiplinger's Personal Finance, March 2006
"Like audiobooks but lose patience with cassette, CD and MP3 players? Consider a Playaway self-playing audio-book, which comes with one AAA battery and earbuds. All you have to do to listen is press play."

Chicago Sun-Times, January 2006
"Measuring approximately 3 inches by 2 inches wide and about a quarter inch thick, the Playaway comes with batteries, ear buds, a lanyard (for optimum ease of portability) and frankly, they're just plain cute."

The Oprah Magazine
Playaway is mentioned at The O List. “A few things I think are just great.” – OPRAH
“Listen to this genius idea: self-playing digital audiobooks – smaller than a deck of cards – that come with earphones.”

The New York Times, article by Warren Buckleitner, January 2007
“Not an iPod, but It’s Child-Friendly and Uses One AAA battery.

Playaway is known for its Ready-to-Go line of audio book players, which are about the size of an iPod and play one book each. It is a concept that seems easy to apply to music, and that’s the idea behind the company’s $30 Kidz Bop to Go players, each featuring 20 songs aimed at children.
The players are most notable for the features they don’t have. There are no U.S.B. cables, CDs to rip or burn, downloads, online stores or batteries to recharge. Just turn them on, put in the headphones and you’re ready to go.

There is a tiny LCD screen that displays the track number and time remaining. The device is powered by one AAA battery that lasts 12 hours.

Volumes 1 and 2 of Kidz Bop to Go feature songs from the Kidz Bop team, who perform highly engineered versions of Top 40 songs. The sound quality is good, although the volume can get uncomfortably loud.

When looking for music to keep the children entertained, consider that for the price of 30 songs from the iTunes store you can get 20 preloaded Kidz Bop selections, with the player and earbuds to boot.”
The Washington Post, article by K.C. Summers, November 2006
“An occasional look at products the travel industry insists we need.

What: The Playaway, a self-contained digital audiobook.

Aimed at: Technologically challenged recorded-book fans who want to look cool.

But does it work? Smaller than an iPod, the Playaway is so darn cute you want to chuck it under its little plastic chin. But the tiny audiobook system has plenty of other advantages over MP3 players, books on tape or CDs. It's far easier to use -- nothing to download, no CDs or cassettes to lug around, no need for a separate player. It comes preloaded with one book and runs on one AAA battery (provided); all you have to do is press "play," pop in the ear buds (also provided) and listen. There are titles for all interests, from the 9/11 Commission report to "The Da Vinci Code" to "Getting to Yes."

There's even a button that allows you to slow down or speed up the narrator's voice (hours of fun!) and another to change the reader's pitch and tone. Technophobes of the world, take heart: Who needs a clunky old iPod?”

Scholastic Parent & Child, October 2007
“Listen up: these lightweight pre-loaded audio devices offer hundreds of stories for all ages, child and adult. Just pop in the earbuds and kick back.”

Reader’s Digest UK in “25 products that will change your life” by Caroline Westbrook, September 2007
“What it is. An unabridged audio book and player all in one. Each title comes with batteries, earphones and controls. You can’t put other content into it but you can share it like a book.
How it changes life. Smaller than a pack of cards but – at up to 40 hours’ running time – better value (and simpler) than CDs.”

Susan Weiss, Manager Customer Business Development at Xerox Corporation
“We were considering using CDs as a way to distribute these training sessions – but most sales reps need to be in their car or at their computer in order to listen to CDs. Playaway made our training program flexible enough so that sales rep scan listen absolutely anywhere without being tethered to anything. This was a huge selling point for us.”

Kevin Trent, Director Sales and Digital Solutions at Hogue Printing (a preferred Xerox printer)
“Playaway was a great way for our sales reps to understand the training concepts presented by Xerox. The players were so simple to operate and use that our sales reps were able to begin the training sessions within seconds of opening the package.”

Susan Weiss, Manager Customer Business Development at Xerox Corporation
“Playaway was a great tool for us to disseminate sales training sessions while staying true to the Xerox brand.”

Joe Rickard, President at Intellective Solutions
“This is a format that time-pressed sales people can learn at their own place – anytime, anywhere. The portability of Playaway is a major selling point for these sales people to learn on the go.”

Allison Peck, Public Relations Manager, Clark County Public Library
“Lovers of the spoken word, rejoice! The days of the cumbersome audiobook are gone with the advent of the Playaway, the first self-contained, digital audiobook.
As a library, we are constantly striving to stay relevant to our patrons by offering them the services they want. Audiobooks have always been a popular item here at the Clark County Public Library. AV circulation alone accounted for 462,435 items checked out in 2005, and a large portion of this number would include audiobooks. The Playaway seemed to be a natural fit for the increased demand we have seen in our AV collection.
Since purchasing several titles in the summer of 2006, we have expanded our Playaway collection to include 123 different titles, both fiction and non-fiction. Our patrons have enthusiastically met these new additions to our AV collection! They tout the Playaways portability, variety of genre and title, and ease of use. Our local paper even asked for an op-ed piece this past July about this new addition to the library’s holdings. This may explain why we have had a hard time keeping them on the shelves, but this is certainly not a bad thing. With new titles becoming available everyday, and as their popularity increases, the Playaway will continue to be a valuable part of the Clark County Public Library’s collection.”

Press release, october 2008.

With pride QCT hereby informs that she has become the official importer of Playaway®, the worldwide market leader of preloaded audio players.

The concept makes it possible for you to offer your customers a complete and ready-to-use media player preloaded with your protected content (up to 65 hours per player), like audio books, language courses or a music collection. Next to that the concept offers a lot of space - on both the player as the packaging – for your marketing messages.

The Playaway® players are as big as a deck of playing cards and look like a small book with a user friendly dashboard on the back. Because of the small size and low weight (less than 200 grams) the products can easily fit into a pocket for ultimate portability and multitasking.

All players are delivered in an attractive and complete packaging, including headphones, battery, lanyard, user manual and of course a solid warranty. Next to that you can chose between a standard retail packaging, a standard library packaging or a custom made packaging.

In America more than 65 publishers already enrichened their product range with Playaway®. At this moment more than 1.500 titles are available of for example authors like John Grisham, Danielle Steel en Barack Obama. Each month around 150 new titles are added to this.

The first reactions of publishers clearly show that Playaway is also in Europe seen as a welcome addition to the existing collections.", states mr. Dolf Blomhert, Managing Director of QCT.
